My #shittyfirstdraft is done! 🥳 Yes, this is a very short draft. My final drafts are usually between 84-94k. But I wanted to try writing a skeleton draft this time round with just the bare bones of the story in, as so much changes as you ‘tell

November was a bit of a mixed bag! Some highlights: finally finishing Couch to 5k then running my first ever 5k without stopping (albeit very slowly…), lovely dinner with lovely school friends, bonfire night 🔥🎇, the serial killer exhibition

I am writing something new (my 12th ever novel!) & I hit 10k today. It never gets easier; in fact I think it gets harder. With every book you write, you learn more and you see your mistakes and the issues more clearly and earlier in the process.
